How it Happened:

• Roanoke fired off five shots in the first fifteen minutes of play but were unable to connect.
• After a scoreless first half, Christopher Newport took a 1-0 advantage with a goal by Madison Doss at the 39:23 mark.
• 17 minutes later, the Captains extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal from Abby Cryts securing the win.
• The Maroons led 8-7 in penalty corners while the Captains owned a 14-9 edge in shots.
• Katerina DeSimone and Shelbi Holloman led the RC offense, tallying two shots each.
