Wooten Named All-State

Wooten named 1st team All State

The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced the 2021 All State Field Hockey teams on Monday afternoon. For the fifth consecutive season, Roanoke college forward Emilee Wooten was named All State by the organization.

Wooten was named to the 1st team as a forward for the second year in a row. The fifth year senior was named 2nd team All State after the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons and was on the first team in 2020. The four time All Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honoree was also named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior Team as well as a 1st team All Region selection back in November.

This past fall, Wooten completed the season with 21 goals, four assists, 46 total points, and six game winning goals. The Maryland native finished her storied Ronaoke College career as the school's all time leader in goals (74), assists (36), and total points (184).
