Senior guard Melvin Felix (Caguas, Puerto Rico, Salem) was voted Second-Team All-ODAC and was recognized at the ODAC Men's Basketball Banquet Thursday evening at the Salem Civic Center. It's the first time that Felix has garnered this honor.

Felix, a team captain, was ranked among the top-five all year in scoring (16.3 ppg) and leads the Maroons in three-pointers made (50), three-point percentage (40.3%), free-throw percentage (77.1%), free-throws made (84), assists (69) and steals (41). His 50 treys on the year rank him ninth on the single-season list at Roanoke.

The Salem product posted career-bests with 33 points and four steals in the season-opener against Warren Wilson (11/20). He has scored over 20 points on 11 occasions and scored in double-figures in all but five games this winter. He was named to both the V-Foundation and the Morris Cregger New Year's Classic All-Tournament Teams.

For his career, the four-year letter-winner and three-year starter has 1,162 points (28^th all-time), 108 three-pointers (11^th all-time), 196 steals (15^th all-time) and a 79.8% free-throw percentage (13^th all-time).

Seventh-seeded Roanoke enters Friday's contest against the second-seed, Randolph-Macon (21-4) with a 12-14 record. The Maroons are winners of four of their last five games, their best stretch of the season. The Yellow Jackets are ranked eighth in the country.
