Six Players Score in Double-Figures as RC tops Randolph 94-72

The Lead: Roanoke had six players in double-figures as it topped Randolph 94-72 Wednesday evening in ODAC Men's Basketball action.

How it Happened:

  • Mark Seaman came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. John Caldwell and C.J. Miles each had 14 points for the Maroons, while Joey Miller had 13, John Fitchett had 11 and Caleb Jordan finished with 10.
  • Reid Jacoby had a game-high of 19 points for the WildCats. Ryan Fields and Colton Lee each had 14 points for Randolph as well.
  • Roanoke finished the game shooting 49.3% from the field as the Maroons connected on 33-of-67 shots in the night. RC also drained 13-of-26 three-point attempts on the night as well. Randolph shot 42.6% on the night making 26-of-61 shots from the field.
  • A Nick Goble bucket made the score 17-10 in favor of Randolph with 14:34 to go in the first-half. Roanoke scored the next 12 points, pushing ahead 22-20 on a Miles three-pointer.
  • Randolph battled back and outscored RC 22-7 taking a 32-29 lead on a Brain Smith bucket with just under seven minutes to go in the half.
  • A Brandon Harrell three-pointer on RC's ensuing possession tied the game and ignited what would prove to be a 24-3 run to close the half to give the Maroons a 53-35 lead at the intermission.
  • The Maroons would maintain a large lead throughout the second-half which reached a high of 25 points when a Miles three-pointer made the score 81-56 with 6:15 to play.
