The Lead: Virginia Wesleyan held Roanoke to a season-low in points as the Marlins topped the Maroons 83-56 in Virginia Beach.

How it Happened:

• The Maroons were led by C.J. Miles with 18 points. John Caldwell had 13 points and John Fitchett had 10. 
• Virginia Wesleyan got a game-high 24 points from Khory Moore. Cory White Jr. came off the bench to score 12 points and help the VWC bench to a 33-2 edge over the RC reserves.
• RC shot 28.3% for the game as the Maroons made 15-of-53 shots from the field in the loss. VWC made 24-of-54 shots from the floor, including 10 three-pointers en route to the win.
• With the score 19-15 VWC in the first-half, the Marlins used a 15-2 run to push ahead 34-17 with under seven minutes to play in the first-half. 
• VWC led 49-32 at the intermission and then would push its lead to 62-40 on a Moore bucket 14:34 to go in the game.
