Freund Named First-Team All-State by VaSID

Salem, Va. – Roanoke College Men's Basketball standout Josh Freund has been named First-Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

This is the second consecutive First-Team All-State honor for Freund and the latest in a long line of postseason awards for the senior from Charlotte, N.C.

Freund has already been named Second-Team All-District by the NABC. Second-Team All-Region by D3hoops.com and was selected to take part in the Reese's NABC Division III All-Star Game at the Division III Final Four. In February he was named First-Team All-ODAC for the second consecutive year.

He finished his final season averaging 18.3 points per game to go along with 10.7 rebounds per game. He also finished second in the conference in field goal percentage (60.6), first in field goals made (192), second in total points (493) and rebounds per game (10.7).

For his career, Freund finished with 1,415 points. He was a First-Team All-ODAC choice and the ODAC Player of the Year in 2018.
