Dawson, Draper, and Morse Named Academic All-District by CSC

SALEM, Va. – A trio of Roanoke men's basketball players have been honored by College Sport Communicators (CSC) for their work both on the court and in the classroom by being selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Trent Dawson, Kasey Draper, and Joshua Morse all met the criteria for being honored and are now on the ballot for Academic All-America honors.

Dawson is a business administration major with a 3.56 GPA who has played in all 24 games this season for the Maroons, making a pair of starts. He is averaging 1.3 points per game, 1.6 rebounds per game, and 1.3 assists per game.

Draper is a business administration major with a 4.0 GPA who has started all 24 games for Roanoke this year. A 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-America selection, he is averaging 16.5 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, and 1.8 assists per game. He has been named All-Region and First Team All-ODAC the past two seasons as well as First Team All-State by VaSID.

Morse has a 3.86 GPA as a business administration major and has made an appearance in every game this year. He is averaging 4.2 points per game, 2.3 rebounds per game and 0.1 assists per game.

The Maroons are the No. 4 seed in the ongoing ODAC Tournament and will face off with No. 5 seed Washington and Lee on Friday, February 24 in the quarterfinals. The game will take place at the Salem Civic Center with tipoff scheduled for 3 p.m.
