Brad Dunleavy returned to his alma mater as a member of Clay Nunley's staff in April of 2016.

Following a standout career at RC that saw him score 1,079 points during his four years and was named an Honorable Mention All-American as a senior, Dunleavy broke into the coaching ranks as a teacher and coach at Roanoke's Patrick Henry High School. Dunleavy then served as an assistant coach at ODAC rival Virginia Wesleyan. He helped VWC to a combined 145-44 record, six NCAA Tournament appearances. Dunleavy was a member of the Marlins 2006 National Championship team and their 2007 National Runner-Up squad.
