    The Roanoke College Athletic Department announced their 2020-21 award winners on Monday afternoon. The announcement of the four awards comes after an unprecedented season that would see all sports competing, in condensed schedules, over a three and a half month period due to the pandemic.

    In the semifinal round of the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men’s Tennis Tournament, Roanoke traveled to #1 seeded Washington and Lee on Wednesday afternoon. The Generals came into the match ranked #32 in the most recent ITA men’s poll. Roanoke would not be able to capture any of the three doubles matches and with wins at #5 and #6 singles, W&L closed out the Maroons, 5-0.
  • Roanoke Rallies To Advance

    The Roanoke College men’s tennis team entered the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament as the fifth seed and made the trip to Lynchburg to face the Hornets in the quarterfinals. Lynchburg took a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches. A Roanoke rally would see the Maroons claim four of the singles matches to close out Lynchburg, 5-3, advancing to the semifinal round.

    he Roanoke College men’s tennis team wrapped up the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) season when they hosted Shenandoah on the courts of the Elizabeth Campus Complex. A sweep of the doubles matches would put the Maroons in firm control on their way to a 7-2 win over the Hornets.

    The Roanoke College men's and women's tennis teams would host Johnson University at the Elizabeth Campus Tennis Complex on Saturday morning. Both the men and women would complete 9-0 sweeps of the matches against the Royals.

    The Roanoke men's tennis team was back in action on Sunday afternoon when they hosted Randolph-Macon in a rescheduled match from earlier in the season. The Maroons took two of the three doubles matches for a 2-1 lead. However, the Yellow Jackets rallied in singles play to pick up a 6-3 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) named their Players of the Week for week 10 on Monday afternoon. For the second time this season the Roanoke men's tennis team would feature an honoree of the conference award when Dalton Capobianco was named ODAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

    The Roanoke College men's tennis team traveled to Lynchburg to face the Hornets on Sunday afternoon. After winning two of the three doubles matches, the Maroons would go on to sweep the individual matches for the 8-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win.

    The men’s and women’s tennis teams went to Bridgewater for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup on Tuesday afternoon. The men rallied, taking four of the six singles matches on their way to a 5-4 win. The women held a 2-1 lead after doubles, however the Eagles would win five of the six singles matches for the 6-3 win.

    The Roanoke College men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to Lynchburg to face Randolph College on Saturday. The men took two of the three doubles points and four singles matches for the 6-3 win. The women won a pair of doubles matches and all five singles matches for the 7-0 sweep of the WildCats.

    Roanoke College travel to Guilford on Saturday afternoon. Fresh off their first win over Hampden-Sydney in eight years, the Maroons looked to get off to a 2-0 conference start. Guilford took the doubles matches, 2-1, and held off the Maroons for the 6-3 win.

    Saturday marked the start of the 2021 Roanoke College men’s tennis campaign. The Maroons kicked off the season by hosting their arch rivals from Hampden-Sydney. Roanoke swept the doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles play for the 8-1, season opening win.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced their plan for the return to competition for the Spring of 2021. Tuesday afternoon the league office announced that conference play is slotted to begin January 23rd.
  • Wilkes Tabbed to Lead Roanoke Tennis

    Roanoke College Director of Athletics Scott Allison is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Wilkes to lead the Maroon’s tennis program. Wilkes will take over the helm of the men’s and women’s tennis teams starting December 1st.
