Meet: ODAC Indoor Championships

The Lead: The women finished third and the men finished tied for seventh at the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Sunday in Salem, Va.

Highlights

• Claire Aurand posted a career-best in the 60M with a time of 7.97 earning third place. Aurand also placed third in the 200M, clocking a 26.30 for another career-best.
• Cameron Thompson placed fourth in the 60M with a time of 7.13 followed by Nicolas Stewart's time of 7.14 which was good for fifth. Thompson also recorded a fifth place finish in the 200M in 23.01 seconds.
• Brynn MacDougall earned second in the 400M with a time of 59.96 followed by a sixth-place finish in the 200M with a time of 26.84. Lindsey Baxter took eighth in the 400M with a time of 1:04.13.
• Kerri Dalton finished third in both the 3000M and the 5000M with times of 10:42.94 and 18:41.61, respectively. Caity Ashley finished sixth in the mile in 5:24.69 and seventh in the 3000M with a time of 11:09.02.
• Melanie Meadows took sixth in the 60M Hurdles, clocking a 9.97.
• Aurand, Baxter, MacDougall and Brittany Mallette earned fourth in the women's 4x400 relay with a time of 4:15.91 while Mykal Dawkins, Juilian Edwards, Paul Houston and William Pankey took sixth in the men's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:34.50.
• In the distance medley relay, the women's team of Claire Brooks, Mallette, Nora DeBoer and Ellen Bauer clocked a 13:27.82 earning second. The men's team of Kevin Waterman, Dawkins, Athey Crump and John Wiggins took second with a time of 10:43.74.
• Baxter tied for fifth in the pole vault with a score of 3.02M followed by Elleri Vitwar (2.82M) in seventh and Anna Holley (2.67M) in eighth. Dillon Kopec tied for fourth on the men's side with a score of 3.85M.
• Jayna Jean-Jules finished third in the women's weight throw with a throw of 12.32M and David Flowers earned sixth in the men's weight throw with a 13.43M. Kaleb Bland placed eighth in men's shot put with a throw of 13.11M.
