The Lead: Teresa Wagner tossed a complete-game as Roanoke topped second-ranked Salisbury 6-3 Saturday afternoon in Cary, N.C.

How it Happened:

• Taylor Carter had two hits and a pair of RBI, while Katie Smith had two hits and two RBI for the Maroons.
• With Salisbury leading 1-0 in the second inning, RC rallied for four unearned runs to go up 4-1.
• Roanoke added to its lead with solo homerun by Katie Smith in the third inning then made it a 6-1 Maroon lead with an RBI single in the sixth.
• Wagner went all seven innings in the circle, allowed just three runs on six hits and striking out four in the process.

Score: Roanoke 12, NC Wesleyan 1 (5inn.)
Location: Cary, N.C.

The Lead: Taylor Slate, Katie Priester, Erin Forbes and Jordan Meador each had two RBI as Roanoke topped NC Wesleyan.

How it Happened:

• Roanoke got the scoring going in the second innings when Forbes singled home a pair and Meador followed with an RBI single to make it 3-0.
• In the RC third, Priester singled home two runs as did Slate which was part of a six run inning for Roanoke to make it 9-0.
• Ruthie Williams went five innings, allowing just four hits and one run, while striking out two.

Roanoke will continue its stay in North Carolina when it takes on Meredith and McDaniel on Sunday.
