The Lead: The Roanoke softball team took two in their ODAC matchup against Ferrum on the road. The Panthers took the lead in game one, but the Maroons were able to battle back to take the 6-4 win before a 4-0 shutout win in game two.

Highlights:

• The Panthers took the 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. The Maroons were able to answer these runs in the top of the fifth. Lilly Burns lead off the inning with a solo home run to center field. With runners in scoring position Madison Cooke singled up the middle which would plate two runs.
• In the top of the sixth with runners on second and third Serenity Bishop singled into right field bringing in one run.
• With a runner on third in the top of the seventh Molly Epperson singled through the left side to bring the run in. Kate Houle followed with a double into right field that scored the runner on first.

Highlights:

• In game two the Maroons pulled ahead after two innings. In the top of the second the Maroons would plate two runs off wild pitches by the Panthers.
• With runners on the corners in the top of the sixth Jordyn DiFava attempted to steal second and drew the throw which allowed Madison Courts to score.
• In the top of the seventh Morgan Clark drew a walk and was moved to third on a SAC bunt by Cooke. Lauren Hoffman doubled down the left field line to bring the score to 4-0.
• Makayla Austin went 2 for 2 in game two.
• Lindsay Gedro threw her fourth shutout of the year and had a total of seven strikeouts in game two.

Up next: Roanoke returns home to face Randolph College on Saturday April 22^nd. Game times are scheduled for 1:00pm and 3:00pm
