The Lead: Roanoke extends their win streak to seven after taking game one against Shenandoah in the ODAC Tournament. The Maroons took the early lead in the bottom of the first. The Hornets quickly answered with a run in the top of the second to tie the game, but the Maroons would come out on top after adding another run in the bottom of the sixth.

Highlights:

• In the bottom of the first Lauren Hoffman hit to the right side of the field which allowed for a run to score.
• Shenandoah was able to tie the game back up in the top of the second with a single into center field that brought in a run for the Hornets.
• After 5 scoreless innings the Maroons were able to bring in another run in the bottom of the sixth when Adriana Rivera singled into center field to bring in Morgan Clark.
• Jada Karnes had seven strikeouts.
• Rivera went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.

Up next: The Maroons will return to Liberty University Saturday May 6^th to face Lynchburg University at 5:00pm in their second game of the ODAC tournament.
