Women Fall to Emory & Henry, 6-3

EMORY, Va. --- The Roanoke College women's tennis team dropped its second consecutive match of the season against Emory & Henry on Wednesday afternoon. The Wasps defeated the Maroons 6-3. The Maroons fell to 4-2 overall and 0-2 in the ODAC while the Wasps improved to 4-4, 2-0.

The Wasps won the number one and two doubles matches and the number two through five singles matches. The Maroons took Emory & Henry to three sets in both the number two and four singles matches.
In the number three doubles seed, Caroline Hunter and Lucy Webb defeated Kandyce Baker and Kaylee Gallant 8-2.
In singles competition, Kelsey White earned a point for the Maroons in her 6-1, 6-2 victory over Savanna Tickle in the number one spot. Julia Hausmann defeated Gallant 6-1, 6-1 for her fourth win of the season.
The women travel to will host North Carolina Wesleyan on Mar. 22. Match time is set for 11:00 a.m.
