Salem, VA--- Roanoke defeated Mary Baldwin (8-1) and Southern Virginia University (7-2) in non-conference women's tennis action this week. The Maroons improved to 3-2 on the young season.

In Tuesday's match against Mary Baldwin, the Maroons cruised through every match but #4 singles. Laura Dodson (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring), Kelsey White (Providence, RI, Wheeler),and Corbin Leitch (Richmond, VA, Steward School)finished the afternoon perfect without losing a single set in both singles and doubles play.

The women continued to roll as a squad as they downed Southern Virginia on Wednesday, winning two of three doubles and five-of-six singles matches. The Maroons top-three, Dodson, White, and Leitch won every match in decisive fashion, paving the way to the 7-2 victory.

The Maroons will play next at home against ODAC rival Washington & Lee University on March 15^th. The event is scheduled to start at 4pm on the campus of Roanoke College.
