Three Maroons Named All-ODAC in Women's Tennis
Laura Dodson (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring), Corbin Leitch (Richmond, VA, Steward School)and Kelsey White (Providence, RI, Wheeler)were selected to the 2010 Women's Tennis All-ODAC Team announced Friday afternoon. All three earned second-team honors.
Dodson, an ODAC Player of the Week earlier this season, took the #1 singles spot on the second-team after going 12-4 on the season, 7-3 in ODAC play. She also earned second-team honors in #1 doubles with Corbin, as the freshman duo went 12-4 overall, 8-2 in conference play.
Leitch went 14-2 to lead the Maroons, including a 12-2 mark in #3 singles. She finished the season winning 10-straight, which included two wins in the #2 slot. Leitch also posted a team-best 9-1 mark against ODAC competition.
White, the 2009 ODAC Rookie of the Year, earned second-team all-conference in #2 singles. She finished the year 10-4 overall, 5-3 in conference play. White is now 15-5 in two years at Roanoke, 8-4 in conference matches.
The Maroons finished 10-6 on the season, 7-3 in conference play which secured a third-seed in the ODAC Tournament. The women posted records of 5-1 at home while 4-2 on the road. The 10 wins are the most since the 2007 season.
