SALEM, Va. --The Women's Tennis started season off with a loss against Southern Virginia 6-2. The Knights improve to 1-0 while the Maroons drop to 0-1.
In singles competition, Laura Dodson (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring) defeated Rachel Rei 6-4, 6-1 to earn her first win of the 2011 season. Junior Caroline Hunter (Salem, VA, Salem) routed Kayla Bridge 3-6, 6-4, 8-6 to receive her first win of the season.
The Women's next game is on 2/27 as they travel to Mary Baldwin and start time is scheduled at 1 PM.
