Women's Tennis Rebounds with 9-0 victory over Randolph in ODAC Action
SALEM, Va. --- Roanoke returned to the win column on Thursday, with a 9-0 victory over Randolph College. The Maroons, winners of 5-of-6 matches, improved to 5-2 overall, 3-1 in ODAC play. The Wild Cats remain winless on the season at 0-7, 0-5 in the ODAC.

In #1 singles, Laura Dodson (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring) held off Lori Gerlach with a final score of 7-5, 6-1. She leads the Maroons in wins this season and boasts a 6-1 record. Corbin Leitch (Richmond, VA, Steward School) followed Dodson with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Shantel Rivera. Kelsey White (Providence, RI, Wheeler) topped Kaylne Lynch, 6-1, 6-3 in #3 singles for her second-straight win.

Lauren Marszal (Meriden, CT, Francis T. Maloney), who improved to 5-0 on the season, knocked off Lorna McFarlane, 6-1, 6-3 in her first match in the #4 slot. Lucy Webb (Glastonbury, CT, Glastonbury) earned her first win of the season, 6-0, 6-3 in #5 singles and Kim Naylor (Springboro, OH, Springboro High School) won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 in the final singles match of the afternoon.

The Roanoke duo of Leitch and Dodson improved to 5-2 in #1 doubles after a tight 8-6 win in the closest match of the day. White and Kristin Nagy (Torrance, CA, Torrance High School) won their first doubles match of the spring in an 8-1 victory. Casey Wojtera (Radford, VA, Radford) and Caroline Hunter (Salem, VA, Salem) had a dominating 8-0 decision in #3 doubles to win their second-straight.

The Maroons will host the Sweet Briar Vixen's March 30th. The game is scheduled for 4:00 PM at the new Roanoke Tennis Courts located on the Elizabeth Campus.
