SALEM - The Roanoke College women's tennis team got back on track in sweeping ODAC opponents after defeating Emory & Henry, 9-0 on Tuesday. The Maroons have a record of 6-3; 4-1 ODAC, while the Wasps are 5-8; 0-5 in the ODAC.

In doubles play, Briell Smith and Laura Dodson played in the #1 position, defeating Alyssa Wingate and Taylor Evans 8-1. The team of Corbin Leitch and Kaity Diskerud blanked Emily Bolt and Casey Blackburn in #2 doubles, 8-0. In the #3 spot, Kristen McDowell and Elli Fields defeated Sheyenne Cleveland and Auburn Barett 8-4.

For the first time this season, Corbin Leitch played #1 singles where she was victorious over Wingate, 6-1; 6-3. Dodson won #2 singles, 6-3; 6-1, while Smith picked up the win in #3 singles, 6-0; 6-1. McDowell topped Bolt 6-2; 6-3 at #4 and Haley Goodes won at #5, 6-0; 6-0. Diskerud finished the sweep for the Maroons with a tight 6-3; 7-6 decision.

The Maroons return to action on Thursday, March 28^th as they take on Sweet Briar College at the Elizabeth Campus Courts. That match is scheduled for a 4:30 PM start.
