LYNCHBURG - The #18 ranked Roanoke College women's tennis team picked up its fourth consecutive Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory, defeating Lynchburg College, 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The Maroons now have a record of 10-3, 8-1 ODAC, while the Hornets now sit with a mark of 1-8; 0-6 in ODAC play.

The Maroons were victorious in all the matches that were played to completion. In doubles action, the team of Laura Dodson and Briell Smith defeated Betsy Stipa and Melissa Drinkard, 8-4 in the #1 position. In #2 doubles, Corbin Leitch and Haley Goodes won over Madison Dixon and Ari Peikin, 8-0.

In singles, Leitch played in the #1 spot, where she has been undefeated so far this season, defeating Drinkard 6-0; 6-0. Briell Smith picked up a victory in #3 singles as she topped Dixon, 6-0; 6-0. Also winning by the score of 6-0; 6-0 in each of their matches were Haley Goodes at #4 and Kaitlyn Diskerud at #5 singles. The Maroons also won #6 singles and #3 doubles by default.

The Maroons return to action on Friday, April 12^th as they play host to Guilford College at the Elizabeth Campus Courts. That contest is scheduled for a 2:30 PM start.
