Women's Tennis Sweeps Virginia Wesleyan 9-0
SALEM – The Roanoke College women's tennis team blanked Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday morning, 9-0.  The #19 regionally ranked Maroons now have a record of 7-0, while the Marlins are sitting with a mark of 1-7.
 
The Maroons went 3-0 in doubles action on Saturday morning.  The team of Jennifer Antoszyk and Briell Smith won over Mia Proctor and Hannah Parent 8-2 in #1 doubles.  Emily Henderson and Reed Kegel bested Hannah Rice and Lisa Nguyen, also by the score of 8-2.  In the #3 spot, Kristen McDowell and Emma Barker won over Sydney Charity and Kaitlyn Rapuza, 8-1.
 
In singles action, Jennifer Antoszyk won at #1 singles, 6-1; 6-0 over Proctor.  Smith topped Parent 6-3; 6-0 at #2 singles.  Baker won in the #5 position, defeating Charity 6-1; 6-1.  Henderson, Kegel and Haley Goodes all were victorious in their respective singles matches, blanking their opponents 6-0; 6-0.
 
The Maroons return to action on Wednesday, March 19th as they host Lynchburg College at the Elizabeth Campus Courts.  That match is scheduled for a 3:00 PM start.
