Women's Tennis Stays Perfect with Win over Emory & Henry
EMORY – The #19 regionally ranked Roanoke College women's tennis program's unbeaten streak in 2014 continues, after defeating Emory & Henry 6-3 on Saturday.  The Maroons are now 8-0, 4-0 in the ODAC, while the Wasps have a record of 6-5, 0-3 in the ODAC.

Roanoke extends its undefeated streak for the season to 8-0, as well as a 4-0 start to ODAC play.  This is the best start in program history, as well as the best start for a first year coach (Daniel Ragsdale) in any Roanoke College athletic program.

Roanoke won at #2 doubles, as Emma Barker and Kristen McDowell defeated Lauren Riner and Meredith Yeary 8-5.  Roanoke picked up a default win at #3 doubles as well, credited to the team of Alexandra Martin and Elli Fields.

In singles action, Roanoke won at #3 with a Reed Kegel win over Yeary 6-0, 6-4.  The Maroons also were victorious at #4 singles as Emma Barker defeated Lauren Riner 6-3-6-2.  Roanoke also was awarded wins at #5 and #6 singles for both Alexandra Martin and Elli Fields.

The Maroons return to action on Monday, March 24th as they host Radford University at the Elizabeth Campus Courts.  That contest is scheduled for a 3:30 PM start.
