The WildCats jumped ahead of the Maroons in doubles play, winning at both #1 and #3 doubles. Roanoke's lone doubles victory came at the #2 spot, as Emily Henderson and Reed Kegel defeated Dina Velazco and Jenna Sweet, 8-5.
Roanoke however came through in singles by sweeping the first four matches. Jennifer Antoszyk defeated Pachi Verdezoto 7-5, 6-0 at the #1 singles position. At #2 singles, Briell Smith topped Alison Henry 6-4, 6-4. Henderson topped Velazco 6-3, 6-1 in the #3 spot. Roanoke's final win came at #4 singles, as Kegel defeated Heater Parra 6-3, 6-2.
The Maroons return to action on Saturday, April 5th as they take on Randolph-Macon College in Ashland. That match is scheduled for a 12:00 PM start.
