Women's Tennis Sweeps Guilford on Sunday
 SALEM – The Roanoke College women's tennis team won on Sunday afternoon at the Elizabeth Campus Courts by sweeping Guilford College 9-0.  The Maroons now have a record of 9-4, with an undefeated 4-0 record in ODAC play.

Roanoke went 3-0 in doubles play, including blanking the Quakers in #2 and #3 doubles.  Emily Henderson and Reed Kegel defeated Haley Andrews and Allison Hewitt 8-2 in the #1 doubles position.  Kristen McDowell and Catherine Lee picked up the 8-0 victory over Nora Prokosch and Fernanda Gonzalez in the #2 doubles.  Kaitlyn Diskerud and Alexandra Martin also earned the 8-0 in at #3 doubles spot.

The Quakers gave Roanoke some trouble at #1 and #2 singles.  Reed Kegel went to three sets with Haley Andrews, picking up the win at #1 singles, 2-6, 6-1, 10-8.  At #2 singles, Emma Barker also went to three sets with Allison Hewitt, winning 2-6, 6-3, 10-8.  Diskerud won at #3 singles, besting Prokosch 6-2, 6-0.  Lydia Dey topped Fernanda Gonzalez with a score of 6-1, 6-0 at #4 singles.  Martin won at the #5 spot over Luci Gordon 6-1, 6-2.  Elli Fields rounded things out for the Maroons at #6 singles, winning 6-2, 6-0.

The Maroons return to action on Friday, March 27th as they travel to Virginia Weselyan to play in ODAC action.  That match is scheduled for a 3:00 PM start.
