Roanoke Tennis Teams Place Four on All-ODAC Team

Salem, Va. – Four Roanoke College student-athletes were named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tennis All-League teams announced this week.

Emily Henderson and Briell Smith were named First-Team All-ODAC at No. 1 doubles, while Henderson was a second-team choice at No. 1 singles and Smith at No. 2 singles.

On the men's side, Joey Ross and Holden Branham were named Second-Team All-ODAC at No.2 doubles.

The duo of Henderson and Smith went 8-5 overall as team this season, including an 8-2 mark against league opponents which ties for the most wins by a No. 1 doubles teams in the ODAC.

Individually, Henderson collected eight wins in total this year, including six against league opponents which was fourth most among No. 1 players.

Smith went 5-2 in ODAC competition which tied for the third most victories among singles players in the league.

Ross and Branham had eight wins on the year which was fourth most wins among any doubles team in the league, while their 8-2 mark overall was second best among No. 2 doubles teams.  Their seven wins in the league was second most.
