RC fell to Transylvania on day two of the Invitational

Location: Top Seed Tennis Club, Nicholasville, Ky.
The Lead: After winning their spring debut on Friday, the RC women faced their hosts from Transylvania on Saturday evening. The Pioneers took the match as Roanoke goes to 1-1 on the early season.
How it happened:
- Transylvania swept the doubles matches, putting the Maroons in 0-3 hole heading into the six, singles matches.
- Trailing one set to love, Sophie Bartholomaus mounted a rally and too the second set, 6-3. In the tie-breaker, the Bartholomaus would pull out a, hard fought, 11-9 win to take the match at #6 singles.
Up next: RC will wrap up play at the three day, Transylvania Invitational on Sunday.
