The Lead: Mikayla Hefferon won the 400m as the Roanoke women's track & field team secured a third-place showing at the conference outdoor meet at Bridgewater College.

Monday Highlights:

  • Lynchburg claimed the team championship with 251 points. Washington and Lee finished second with 153 points, and the Maroons snagged third with 112.5 points.
  • Hefferon took first in the 400m with a time of 57.47 seconds. Haylee Gamble placed fifth in 59.63 seconds, while Lauren Henson scored with an eighth-place finish in 1:01.27.
  • Gamble produced a runner-up showing in the 200m with a time of 25.76 seconds. Eleanor Hinckley claimed seventh in 26.41 seconds, while Hefferon finished eighth in 26.75 seconds.
  • Roanoke placed third in the 4x100 relay, with Lindsey Hobin, Taylor Poole, Hannah Snodgrass and Eleanor Hinckley recording a time of 48.52 seconds.
  • Three Maroons scored in the pole vault: Chloe Van Duyne took third with a mark of 3.21m, followed by Tasha Miller in fifth place and Claire Kinney in sixth.
  • Hinckley finished fourth in the 100m, clocking a time of 12.34 seconds.
  • In the 100m hurdles, Cammi Winston placed fourth in 15.93 seconds. Hobin took fifth in 16.28 seconds, and Snodgrass' time of 19.93 seconds was good enough to score in eighth place.
  • Ophelia Ladner produced a fourth-place finish in the 400m hurdles, registering a time of 1:08.35, while Winston placed eighth in 1:15.18.
  • Roanoke's 4x400 relay team of Maryrose Molina-Shuman, Hinckley, Ladner and Gamble came in fifth in 4:12.48.
  • The Maroons took the fifth-through-eighth spots in the javelin. Grace Fowler led the way at 31.08m, followed by Elisabeth Cullen (30.08m), Abigail McGlothin (28.68m), and Caitlin Culhane (27.64m).
