Regarded as one of the top men’s soccer players in Roanoke College’s storied history, Prillaman is one of only two players in Roanoke soccer history to become a four-time All-ODAC performer. In addition, he was voted the 1991 ODAC Player of the Year. The Roanoke, VA native went on to earn Second-Team All-American honors during his senior year, the first Maroon soccer player to earn national recognition since 1985. The 6-1 midfielder helped lead the Maroons to the 1988 ODAC Championship and back-to-back ODAC Runner-Up finishes in 1990-91 during his four years in Salem.
A graduate of North Cross School, Prillaman came to campus in 1988 and garnered First-Team All-ODAC honors as a freshman. He would go on to earn the same award over the following three seasons. During his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, Prillaman was named to the NSCAA First-Team All-South Region squad. In the spring of 1992, the two-year team captain was named the Roanoke College Male Athlete of the Year. From 1989-91, Prillaman became the only player to receive the Jeffery Childs Willis MVP Award.
After graduation in 1992, he enjoyed an eight-year professional career in the United Soccer League with the Roanoke Riverdawgs, Roanoke Wrath and the Washington Mustangs.
