Proietti's name signified Roanoke College basketball in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s.  At one time during his freshman year, he was the ninth most accurate field goal shooter in the nation. 

Proietti's freshman and sophomore years he was named to the athlete All-Virginia team.

On the Mason Dixon All-Tournament team his freshman year; During his junior year he was on the Mason Dixon All-Star team; For all four years, Proietti was voted to the All-Little Six team.

Was the first player in Roanoke College history to score more than 1,000 points in varsity competition.
