Scott Anderson

  • Class of:
    1970
  • Induction Class of:
    1978

Anderson haunted opponents with the flashiest moves and the fanciest footwork to be found on any soccer field.

In 1970, Anderson was selected by the Virginia Intercollegiate Soccer Association - Outstanding Player of the State.  He was selected to All-VISA, All-Mason Dixon, and All-South teams several times.  Three of his four years at Roanoke he was selected an All-American, the first player in the college’s history to be awarded this honor three times.

Scott Anderson was synonymous with Roanoke soccer and the Maroons enjoyed some of the most successful seasons ever, winning three VISA Titles, back-to-back Virginia State Titles and claimed the South Division Mason-Dixon Championship.
