A two-sport star for Roanoke College, Franzino was a two-time women’s lacrosse All-American, rates among the team’s all-time leading scorers, and also is among the leading scorer in Roanoke women’s soccer history. The 1997 Roanoke College Female Athlete of the Year, Franzino was a Second Team women’s lacrosse All-American, both IWLCA and USWLA, in 1996 and 1997. A First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection in both 1996 and 1997, Franzino was also a standout in soccer, where she was also a two-time First Team All-Conference selection. 

She completed her lacrosse career with 129 goals, 96 assists, 225 points, and as the program’s third leading scorer. On the soccer field, Franzino had 32 goals, 17 assists, and 81 points and ended her career ranked fifth on RC’s all-time scoring list.
