Godbout, originally from Ellicot City, MD, was a four-year starter at goalie for the Maroons field hockey program from 1998-2001.  Godbout recorded a four-year record of 49-21, including a program-best 15-win season in 1999.  She played in arguably the best era of the field hockey program, when the Maroons posted a string of eight-straight 10-win seasons from 1997-2004.

Twice an ODAC Player of the Week selection, Godbout was named to the All- ODAC Tournament team, in addition to garnering back-to-back NFHCA First-Team All-South Region selections in 2000 and 2001.  In 2001, she was named First-Team NFHCA All-American, VaSID College Division First-Team All-State and voted the Roanoke program’s only ODAC Player of the Year.

Her excellence was evident off the field as well. She was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad three-consecutive years.  The three-time First-Team All-ODAC selection was also named to the Verizon Second-Team All-Academic honor roll in 2001.  Godbout finished her career ranked second on the career saves list (455) and in save percentage (.873), while posting school records in goals against average (1.11), wins (42) and shutouts with 23.
