Regsdale played under Charlie Moir's basketball teams from 1969-73 and was also a member of the 1971-72 national championship team and the National Quarterfinalist team in 1972-73. Was a member of four-straight 20-win seasons.
A distinguished high school coach, Regsdale went on to become varsity basketball coach at Giles High School form 1975-86 and has became the varsity football coach at Giles in 1978. He was named New River District Coach of the Year in football several times, Region IV Coach of the Year, and All-Timesland Coach of the Year.
Ragsdale's 1980 football team was 14-0 and won the Virginia State Group AA Championship. He has coached in the Virginia High School League All-Star football game and has written articles for Coaching Clinic magazine.
