Maybury was the Roanoke College Male Athlete of the Year in 1996, that after finishing second in the ODAC cross country championship race, winning the ODAC's indoor track mile championship, the ODAC's indoor track two-mile championship, the ODAC's outdoor track 1,500 meter championship, and the ODAC's outdoor track 5,000 meter championship. A year before, Maybury was also second at the cross country championship race, that after finishing third as a sophomore.
During the 1994-95 track & field season, Maybury was the ODAC champ in the indoor 1,500 meter event and the ODAC champ in the outdoor 1,500 meter event. All-told, Maybury was a seven-time First Team All-ODAC performer (three cross country, two indoor track, two outdoor track). He holds Roanoke's outdoor 5,000 meter record.
