Warner received the Roanoke College Outstanding Athlete Award in 1975. He was a track and cross country team captain in 1973, ’74, ’75. Named to the All-American track team in 1974.
Received the Outstanding Runner Award for track and cross country and was named to the All-Mason Dixon track and cross country teams. Warner held records in the half mile and two, three, and six mile runs in outdoor track.
In cross country, Warner set the Virginia state record in the six mile run as well as holding several small college and Mason Dixon Conference records.
