Lindsay Wernert – Women’s Lacrosse (1996-99)
Wernert was a four-year starter on the women’s lacrosse team at Roanoke. She was a two-time All-American and All-South Region selection for the Maroons. The 1999 Roanoke College Women’s Athlete of the Year and ODAC Player of the Year was also a two-time first-team All-ODAC Selection. She ranks among the all-time leaders at Roanoke in career points (7th), goals (9th) and assists (9th). Wernert led the Maroons to four-straight 10-plus win seasons and a four-year record of 49-15 overall, 28-3 in the ODAC. During her tenure at Roanoke, the Maroons captured three ODAC Titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
