  • Induction Class of:
    2001

In four years running for the Roanoke College cross country team, Chocklett established himself as one of the best in the history of the team. In each of his seasons with the team, Chocklett earned All-Conference honors, and helped the team make three of its five all-time trips to the NCAA national championship meet.

As a freshman in 1980, Chocklett finished sixth at the Conference meet, and followed that with a second place finish as a sophomore. His run in 1981 was just four seconds off the conference championship time. In each of his first two years, the Maroons won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference team championship, the first two in team history. After a seventh place result at the league championship as a junior, Chocklett again vaulted to the second spot as a senior.

Once again as a senior, Chocklett and his teammates found themselves making a trip to the national race. As a senior, Chocklett received the college's Male Athlete of the Year award.
