Captain of the freshman football squad, Snidow was one of Roanoke’s outstanding gridiron men.  He was acitve on campus, as President of the Monogram Club in 1938 and Vice President of the student body.  Member of the Athletic and Executive councils.

As a coach, he introduced his own version of the T formation and was one of the first to employ a flanker and wide line splits with quarterback options.  His teams compiled enviable records in both football and basketball.
