Roanoke Places 8th in Tom & Bettie O'Briant Tournament

Greensboro, NC --- The Roanoke College golf team competed in the 21st Annual Tom & Bettie O'Briant Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Guilford College on Oct. 26. The tournament featured seven of NCAA Division III's top-25 teams, according to the Oct. 16 Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches poll, including three of the top-six squads.

The Maroons had a total of 649 to earn an eighth place finish in their final tournament of the fall season.
Ryan Robertson and Patrick Guzi both led the Maroons individually with a +19 (159) to tie them for 19th place with Methodist's Liam Fredman and Cape Fear's Wade Boteler. Robertson has also finished 19th in the Tom Keller Invitational and had a season-best 11th place finish in the Hampden-Sydney Invitational. Guzi also finished 15th in the Hampden-Sydney Invitational on Oct. 5.
