Roanoke Golf Takes Sixth in 2014 ODAC Championships
CONOVER, NC - The Roanoke College Golf Team finished sixth in the 2014 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Golf Championships over the weekend, held at the Rock Barn Golf Course in Conover, North Carolina. The Maroons sixth place finish is up four spots from where the team finished in the 2013 ODAC Tournament.

Guilford College took the overall team championship, shooting a three day total of 904, 19 strokes ahead of Washington and Lee, who finished second in the competition. Guilford's Tanner Gross won the individual title, shooting 222 over the three days, which stood as six over par.

Alex Taylor was Roanoke's low-shooter, posting a three day total of 240, which was good enough for a tie of 14th place. Andrew Butts finished with a total of 249, taking 21st place in the conference championship. Cameron McLaughlin finished just four strokes behind Butts with a mark of 253, completing the three day event in 24th place. Will Reitan tied for 29th place, shooting 258. Kolton Cooper rounded out the scoring for the Maroons with a three day total of 265, finishing in 39th place.
