Roanoke Golf Places Sixth in Roanoke Invitational
ROANOKE – The Roanoke College golf team placed sixth in the 2015 Roanoke College Golf Invitational.  The two day match was held at Ballyhack Golf Course in Roanoke, VA.

The Maroons finished sixth in the tournament, shooting a two day total of 666.  Ferrum College came away with the team victory, shooting a two-day total of 615.  Hampden-Sydney placed second with a mark of 633.  Ferrum's Jesse Wall was the low shooter for both days, finishing with a two-round mark of 146 (+2), which included a two-under 70 on Friday.

Roanoke was led by William Brown, who shot 163 (+19) over two days to take a tie for 17th place.  Ryan Davis and Will Reitan tied for 25th place, shooting 166 (+22) for the tournament.  Kolton Cooper and Alex Taylor tied for 35th place with a two-round total of 172 (+28).  Also playing as individuals from Roanoke in the tournament were Colin Hancock, Jack Prater and John Kielley.  Hancock tied for 20th with a total of 165 (+21).  Prater took 40th with a 174 (+30), while Kielley finished 56th with a total of 184 (+40).

The Maroons return to action on April 12-14 as they travel to Williamsburg, VA to play in the Glenn Heath Ship Builders Memorial Tournament
