The Lead: Andrew Butts was named Third-Team All-ODAC as the Maroons wrapped up the 2016 season at the ODAC Championships over the weekend.
How it Happened
- Butts finished 12th at the league championships after firing a 74 to open the tournament followed by an 80 in round two and a 79 in the final round for a three day total of 233.
- Butts finished the year with a 76.7 stroke average in 24 rounds for the Maroons. Butts finished in the top-10 in four of RC's 10 tournaments played this year.
- Washington and Lee University hoisted its 13th overall ODAC Men's Golf Championship trophy on Tuesday afternoon, out-pacing second-place Guilford College by 12 strokes with a three round 911. Generals trailed by seven strokes following an opening round 305, but more than made up for it with scores of 302 and 305 over the final 36 holes
