The Lead: Alex Taylor fired a four under 66 to lead the field and help Roanoke to a third-place standing after day one of the 2015 VSGA State Intercollegiate Tournament in Harrisonburg.
How it Happened:
- Taylor holds a three shot lead over Ferrum's Brandan Bailey and Shenandoah's Evan Cooke.
- Andrew Butts posted a first-round score of 72 to end the first-round in 11th place.
- The Maroons as a team combined to score a 212 which puts them nine strokes back of Ferrum who is atop the leader board and two back of Shenandoah which is in second-place.
- Nicklaus Norris is in 33rd place after shooting a 76, while William Brown is eight over par in 44th place.
