The Lead: Roanoke moved up two spots on the final day of the 68th annual VSGA Intercollegiate Championship at Stonehenge Country Club in Richmond, Va.
How it Happened
- Evan Diebus shot a 73 in both rounds of the tournament to finish in a six-way tie for sixth-place with a total of 146.
- Bradley Williams shot 78-77 for the Maroons and Nick Peters shot the same as they both finished with a two-day total of 156.
- Andrew Edwards shot a 78-84—162, while Adam Anker carded an 84-81—165.
- Roanoke finished in 12th place as a team with a 307-308—615. Virginia Wesleyan won the team title shooting a 289-303—592 to top Mary Washington by three strokes.
- Damian Beasley fired a five under for the tournament to edge Joey Corlett of Christopher Newport by three strokes for the individual state championship.

Up Next: Roanoke will close out its fall season next week at the O'Briant-Jensen Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. The two-day event starts Monday, Oct. 23.
