The Lead: Roanoke battled the wind and rain as well as Southern Virginia in a dual match on Thursday afternoon. The Maroons came into the match with the Knights, ranked 14th in the Region in the most recent GolfStat rankings. RC would post a 308 in the 18-hole event.
How it Happened:
- Justin Grenier and Michael Donnelly led the Maroons with five over par 75's.
- After a slow start, Will Clary would post an even par 36 on the back nine to card a 77.
- Senior Evan Diebus finished the afternoon with a six over 78 while freshman Will Abdi made it five Maroons in the 70's with a seven over 79.
Up next: Up next for the Maroons is a one-day, 36-hole, event hosted by Shenandoah University. The tournament will be held on Monday, March 29 at the Winchester Country Club.
