The Lead: The Roanoke College golf team traveled to Farmville to compete in the Hampden-Sydney Invitational over the weekend. The two-day event was played at the Manor Golf Course at par 72 over 6,643 yards.
How it Happened:
Day One:
- Will Clary fired an even par 72 and was T2nd after 18 holes.
- Sophomore Daniel Poff finished with a three-over par, 75.
Day Two:
- Freshman Will Abdi birdied the final hole to led the way with a six-over par, 78.
- Fellow freshman Michael Donnelly posted back-to-back 81's.
Up next: The Maroons will travel to Greensboro for the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Golf Championships next weekend. The 54 hole championship will feature a 36-hole day one on Sunday, April 25 followed by the final 18 holes on Monday, April 26. The two-day tournament will feature 12 ODAC schools competing on the champions Course at Bryan Park.
