The Lead: Roanoke traveled to western Maryland to compete in the one-day, 10-team, Stevenson Invitational. It was a split squad as another RC team headed to Shenandoah for the Glory Days Invitational. The Maroons posted a 306 on the 6,500, par 71 layout to finish runner-up to the host Mustangs.
How it Happened:
- Sophomore Will Abdi fired a 3-over par 74 to lead RC. Abdi finished t3rd in the field of 50 golfers.
- The duo of Justin Grenier and Michael Donnelly came in at 6-over 77, making it a trio of Maroons in the top 10.
- Freshman Palmer Cuny finished in 13th place with a 78 while fellow first-year Sean Furlong posted a 79.
- All five Maroons would break 80, one of only two schools, and place in the top 17.
Up Next: The Maroons travel to Hanover, Pa. on Sunday October 3 to compete in the Battle of the Burg, hosted by Gettysburg College.
