The Lead: The Roanoke golf team traveled to western Maryland to compete at the, one-day, 18-hole, Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Country Club in Upperco.

How it Happened:

• The Maroons would travel two teams to compete int eh field of 10, A&B, squads on the day. The Roanoke A team would finish 2nd with the B squad coming home 4th.
• Sophomore TJ Whelan fired a 2-over par 73 to finish runner-up in the 47-golfer field. Freshman Brett Chodos was 3rd with a three-over, 74.
• A trio of Maroons would post 78's. Will Clary, Sean Furlong, and Jake Wilson all carded seven-over par rounds and would each finish in the 10.

Up Next: Roanoke travels to Atlanta in early October to compete at the Royal Lakes Invitational on October 10-11.
