Harvey, originally from Chester, VA, was a First-Team All Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection in 1983-84, leading the Maroons in scoring with 16.7 points per game as a senior (16.7 ppg). She was also a well loved team captain . 
 
Harvey was also a Kodak All-American selection following the 1983-84 season, in addition to earning All-South Region honors as a senior.
 
During both her junior and senior seasons, Harvey helped take Roanoke to its first two ODAC crowns in 1983 and 1984.  She led the Maroons in rebounding both years. She finished her career with 1,155 points, 712 rebounds, and a .522 field goal percentage.  
 
Harvey ranks in the top-10 all-time at Roanoke College in three different statistical categories.  She’s ranks fifth all time in field goal percentage, with a mark of .522.  She also ranks sixth in career rebounds, pulling down 712 rebounds over the course of four years.  Finally, she’s ninth all-time in field goals made as she successfully made 483 baskets.  She also ranks in the top-10 all time in single season records, including a school record single season field goal percentage of .609.
